This regulated qualification is designed to introduce the principles of risk assessment. It covers why risk assessments are necessary, the legal requirements relating to them and simple processes for carrying them out. Take this course as a classroom course with one of our approved instructors, as a virtual class using our remote training platform with a real instructor or online with marking and ID checks by a real instructor. Gain the same regulated qualification whichever option you choose.
The cost of this course assumes that you are taking the full distance course and include your certificate cost which is emailed to you once you have completed the course, open response test and ID check.
It is suitable for learners working in any environment who need to be more risk-aware by raising their knowledge of risk in the workplace and basic steps they can take to control it.
Risk Assessment is a trainer-led course that is delivered over a full day. The course aims are to give an understanding of the importance of risk assessment and current applicable legislation, to promote awareness and understanding of what constitutes a hazard, to promote understanding of the 5 steps of carrying out a risk assessment, and to give an understanding of different control measures and how these might be implemented. By the end of this session, candidates will understand the importance of risk assessment and current applicable legislation, understand what constitutes a hazard, understand the hierarchy of controls, and be able to carry out a risk assessment.
This course can be taken 100% online where you complete the online course then complete an open response test paper which is marked by your tutor, feedback is given and then you complete a video online ID check with your instructor. You will receive the same regulated certificate as the classroom course.
This qualification is designed to be an introduction to the principles of Risk Assessment. This course comes with 4.0 hrs (12.0 class) of CPD, although the time to complete the course online may be less than this. Total course time includes 58 minutes of video training as well as knowledge reviews, final test, remedial help and reviewing downloaded material.
