More about this course
We have been recognised as an endorsed provider from Skills for Care, earning the prestigious distinction as a Centre of Excellence within training and health & social care.
This course is designed to meet the requirements of ILS courses as specified by UK Resuscitation Council guidelines and is certified by ProTrainings. It meets the CPD criteria for the General Dental Council’s development outcomes C and includes the latest CPR and Coronavirus recommendations.
The aim is to train healthcare personnel in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, simple airway management, and safe defibrillation, enabling them to manage patients in cardiac arrest until the arrival of a cardiac arrest team and to participate as team members. The course runs over one day and consists of lectures and practical sessions.
ProTrainings Immediate Life Support courses align with the Skills for Health UK Core Skills Training Framework (UK-CSTF) and cover both Level 2 adult and pediatric patient care. The course focuses on identifying the causes and promoting the prevention of cardiopulmonary arrest, recognizing and treating deteriorating patients using the ABCDE approach, and performing quality CPR and defibrillation. It also covers simple airway maneuvers and non-technical skills to facilitate initial leadership and effective team membership.
All our first aid courses fully comply with the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2021, meeting HSE requirements. Current students will have access to the latest updates even after passing the course.
We also offer an online Immediate Life Support for Dentists (ILS) course aimed at the healthcare sector, available as a blended, online, and classroom course nationwide at your workplace. Additionally, an online Advanced Life Support course is available.
This course comes with 6.0 hours of CPD, although the time to complete the course online may be less than this. Total course time includes 5 hours and 40 minutes of video training as well as knowledge reviews, final test, remedial help and reviewing downloaded material.
The content of this and all our courses has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines and come with a Certified CPD Statement as well as a ProTrainings Certificate and for online courses an Evidence Based Learning statement.

What is CPD and why is having Certified CPD important?

ProTrainings are the highest gold standard of CPD ensuring that all courses are externally verified and mapped to the highest levels.
What is "SCORM ready" and will courses run on a LMS?
