CPD locally is what we will look at this week. The problem with CPD is that there are some courses that you have to complete which cannot be completed online.  These can be a course like First Aid at Work. The HSE do not currently allow this course to be taught as a blended course so you have to attend a class based course. CPD – 85 Ways to Complete Your CPD

CPD can be completed with 85 different video online courses with ProTrainings.  In the 85 courses, there are courses in first aid, health & safety, data protection, social care skills, office skills to name a few.   The courses work by registering online or contacting ProTrainings to set up a company dashboard.  Once set up you log in and then start the training.  The course comprises of short videos followed by knowledge review questions and a final test.

Health and Safety Statistics 2014/15 Released

Health & Safety statistics are now released by the HSE to show the latest Health & Safety statistics and the full details are available from their website.  The basic data is as follows. Ill health 1.2 million people who worked during the last year were suffering from an illness they believed was caused or made worse by their work, of which 0.5 million were new conditions that started during the year. 2015 Resuscitation Updates Now Added

We have updated and added videos to all our first aid courses to meet the new 2015 resusciation guidelines.  These include changes to the CPR videos and added videos on effective CPR, improving breaths and improving compressions.  These are available to all students and if you are completing a course now, you will jump back to the new videos and then return to where you were to make sure you see the new videos.  If you completed a classroom course, you will be able to access the videos from your free ProTrainings dashboard.  There will be some more updates for …

Canine First Aid course added

Canine first aid has been added to expand the market on pet first aid, we have added another version that is just dogs.  We added this as many instructors we after a course that was ideal to sell to just dog people.  The course is very similar to the general pet course.  We have added an online course to support the class course and your students will have access to the canine first aid videos once you register them as usual. New Updated 2015 Student Manuals

We have updated all first aid manuals to the latest 2015 guidelines and added more content to cover more subjects to support the courses.  The non first aid manuals are also being updated and over half are now redesigned and updated. To download the manuals, for online, blended and classroom courses, login to your ProTrainings dashboard and you can download from there.

Resuscitation Council 2015 Changes Summary

Resuscitation Council 2015 recommendations we released last Thursday and we have studied the latest Resuscitation changes and are changing over to the new recommendations on our courses very soon.  The recommendations on CPR change every five years.  On the 15th October 2015, the European Resuscitation Council, ILCOR and UK Resuscitation Council announced the 2015 guidelines.  Our training courses will shortly follow the ERC and UK 2015 recommendations to ensure the latest guidelines are including in our online and classroom courses. ProTrainings are very pleased to announce we won the Countywide Small Business of the Year Award.  The award ceremony on Friday was attended by many of our hard working team. We joined lots of other businesses at the awards across many different sectors and the night was sponsored by Essex County Standard and The Echo. The category of Small Businesses of the Year was sponsored by ARC Systems who had their work cut out by visiting and choosing the finalists and choosing the winner.

2015 CPR guidelines changes – UK Resuscitation Council

On 15th October 2015 the new 2015 UK, European and ILCOR CPR guidelines will be updated.  The exact content we will not know till the day and it maybe that some guidelines will not change but all will be announced on the day.  ProTrainings will update all material immediately and if you are an existing student you will have access to the new manuals and materials as well as the new videos a couple of days later.  ProTrainings will be teaching the latest guidelines immediately online and though our instructor network.

Create a free training portfolio with your ProTrainings course login

We have added a feature that creates and keeps a training portfolio direct from your ProTrainings student login page.  It is important to keep a training portfolio to track and prove your training and CPD. With this new feature, you can add any existing training that you have and experience and the courses you take though ProTrainings either as online blended or direct with a ProTrainings approved instructor nationally are automatically added to your portfolio.
