Become a GDPR PRO.

We’ve beefed up our data protection course to comply with the latest legislation known as GDPR. We know that it came into action last month so you all should be up-to-date, but there’s nothing wrong with a refresher! This course can be counted as professional development, and may just save you and your company a small fortune if you spot a breakdown in your processes after learning more about these new regulations.

Wicked new Wiki!

by Keith -

We’re all about helping you find the answers to your first aid and safety questions, fast. So we’ve developed a frequently asked questions section on our website where you can find lots of interesting info. It’s sort of like Wikipedia, which interestingly is named combining the words ‘wiki’ and ‘encyclopaedia’. The word ‘wiki’ which you probably aren’t familiar with, originates from Hawaii, where the term ‘wiki wiki’ means ‘very quick’. Its definition: A website or database, developed collaboratively by a community of users, allowing any user to add and edit content.

ProTrainings EU goes worldwide!

by Keith -

Did you know that around 20% of the World’s population speak English? That’s an incredible figure; over 1.5 billion people. However, what’s much more interesting is that it’s only the first language for 360 million of those people. Well, here at ProTrainings, we’re making it easier for the 1bn+ who may need some extra support, by breaking down the language barriers for learning!

We’ve achieved our ISO45001 accreditation; the new international standard for occupational health and safety management. Our business is all about protecting others, whether it’s by teaching somebody how to save a life with CPR or how to stay safe when working at height.

Reach new heights…literally.

by Keith -

New to our course list! Working at Height. Available in two levels: Level 1 is ideal for those working in low-risk areas, that just need to be aware of the dangers and how to use the correct kit, such as step ladders. Level 2 is more extensive, covering harness use and emergency equipment for the higher risk areas. Both courses are available as an online course. A practical module can be added to gain a regulated qualification.

Public involvement is vital in developing good services, learn Lived Experience online

by Keith -

How users experience services is affected by their own personal circumstances. Gathering the views of people that use your services can help bring issues to life, by illustrating what some are dealing with in their daily lives and the challenges they face. Collecting this valuable information enables you to improve your service, taking into account their concerns and adapting your methods to suit everyone’s needs.

Real Life – Dog Hit-and-Run

by Keith -

Emily, a student who took her Pet First Aid Course with ProTrainings, used her quick thinking and the skills she’d acquired with us, to help a wounded Staffie who’d been hit by a car! Whilst travelling home from a grand Sunday lunch, Emily spotted a limping Staffordshire Bull Terrier. She pulled over and spoke to the owner, explaining she was trained in pet first aid and could help out. Luckily, she’d got the first aid kit she purchased from ProTrainings in the boot of her car. Emily quickly assessed the dog and realised its leg was broken, so she began …

Real Life: Pamela and Meningitis

by Keith -

Suffering from a distinctive set of symptoms she’d learned about on her ProTrainings first aid course, Pamela knew that she was suffering from Meningitis. A headache, sensitivity to bright lights, and not being able to move her chin down to her chest, all added up in Pamela’s head and she realised that time was fo the essence. Within an hour, she was being sick and displaying a meningitis rash, so it’s a good job this trained first aider knew to get herself to A&E as quickly as possible.
