New to our course list! Working at Height. Available in two levels: Level 1 is ideal for those working in low-risk areas, that just need to be aware of the dangers and how to use the correct kit, such as step ladders. Level 2 is more extensive, covering harness use and emergency equipment for the higher risk areas. Both courses are available as an online course. A practical module can be added to gain a regulated qualification.

Real Life – Dog Hit-and-Run

Emily, a student who took her Pet First Aid Course with ProTrainings, used her quick thinking and the skills she’d acquired with us, to help a wounded Staffie who’d been hit by a car! Whilst travelling home from a grand Sunday lunch, Emily spotted a limping Staffordshire Bull Terrier. She pulled over and spoke to the owner, explaining she was trained in pet first aid and could help out. Luckily, she’d got the first aid kit she purchased from ProTrainings in the boot of her car. Real Life: Pamela and Meningitis

Suffering from a distinctive set of symptoms she’d learned about on her ProTrainings first aid course, Pamela knew that she was suffering from Meningitis. A headache, sensitivity to bright lights, and not being able to move her chin down to her chest, all added up in Pamela’s head and she realised that time was fo the essence. Within an hour, she was being sick and displaying a meningitis rash, so it’s a good job this trained first aider knew to get herself to A&E as quickly as possible.

First Responder On Scene qualification is now SIA approved

ProTrainings now offers the FAQ Level 3 Certificate for First Responders on Scene FROS® (RQF) qualification, for those that want to become a First Responder. The course teaches a higher level of first aid training, for students and instructors that want to improve their first aid skills. The FROS course is approved by the SIA, so can now be used by those in the security sector who require an approved responder first aid course. Dog saved by quick thinking, after drug dilemma!

Barney the puppy is training to be an assistance dog. Sadly, last month this Westie pup ate a tramadol tablet that had been dropped by his owner. First Responder On Scene (FROS) qualification

ProTrainings is now an approved provider of the First Responders on Scene (FROS) Level 3 qualification, regulated by Future Awards. The course is made for those who need to be qualified to act as a first responder in an emergency. Having this qualification gives you the skills to provide appropriate care to a casualty, prior to the arrival of an ambulance. The course can be taken as a classroom or blended course, which is a mixture of both online and classroom learning; great for those who do not have the time to attend in person.
