On 23rd June 2017, at around midnight, James Brindley, was fatally stabbed through the heart, as he walked home alone, chatting to his girlfriend on the phone. The attack was entirely unprovoked and the police investigation, crown court murder trial and subsequent trial in The Royal Courts of Appeal, London, did nothing to uncover the truth behind the attack.
